4-Way Test Speech Contest
In adherence to the value we place in strong public speaking exercises for our youth, each year West Covina Rotary Club hosts a speech contest. The purpose of the speech contest is to get high school students thinking and articulating their thoughts in a public speaking format. A different topic is chosen every year. The student must then integrate the topic and the 4-Way Test in a speech not to exceed 8 minutes.
The Four-Way Test:
- Is it the truth?
- Is it fair to all concerned?
- Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
